PLEASE PRAY FOR POPE FRANCIS DURING HIS VISIT TO IRAQ
Lord our God, grant Pope Francis health and safety to carry out successfully this eagerly awaited visit to Iraq. Bless his efforts to promote dialogue, enhance fraternal reconciliation, build confidence, and consolidate values of peace and human dignity, especially for the Iraqis who have been through painful ‘events’ that affected their lives and caused so many to flee their homeland.
We entrust Pope Francis’ visit to the maternal care of Mary, our Mother, so that the Lord may grant the Iraqi Catholics the grace to live in peace and safety, where they can enjoy freedom to worship in their homeland and allow them to cooperate fraternally to build a better future for the Iraqi people. May all people of good will hear and respond to Pope Francis’ message of hope and peace.
